The brainchild of Fernando del Valle III, Ibrahim Jimenez, and Ethan Walden, EXUVIAL originally emerged following the dissolution of its founders' previous band, Apotheon, when its founders decided to shift their focus to creating a sci-fi concept album.

Rapidly refining the overarching storyline from a one-album affair into a three-album audiovisual epic, the band were ready to bring their idea to life, and after tapping drummer Andrew Baird to join their ranks, the rest was history.

Building on the foundations laid by legends from Opeth and Meshuggah to Ne Obliviscaris and The Faceless, EXUVIAL are pioneers of a new brand of progressive death metal, distinguishing themselves with a captivating lyrical narrative that comments on the human experience, psychology, and society's increasingly intricate dance with AI.

Beyond the music, each of EXUVIAL's tracks will also be accompanied with a video for a fully immersive experience.

As EXUVIAL continues to level up their skills in the studio and prepares to unveil their music, mixed and mastered by AJ Viana (Hath, Cognitive) and visually brought to life by Caelan Stokkermans (Lorna Shore, Crown Magnetar), one thing is clear: EXUVIAL is much more than a musical project — it's an experience, a statement, and a glimpse into the future of metal — a future which is as intellectually stimulating as sonically exhilarating.
